Reservations

Reservations are confirmed once payment has been received and a booking confirmation has been issued.

Guests must be at least 18 years of age to make a reservation.

Check-in & Check-out

• Check-in: From 2:00 pm

• Check-out: By 10:00 am

Early check-in and late check-out may be available by prior arrangement and are subject to availability.

Payment

Payment is required in accordance with your booking platform or direct booking confirmation.

For direct bookings, 50% payment is required at the time of booking. Balance payable 14 days prior to checkin.

Cancellation Policy

Maunga Tipu offers free cancellation for all bookings when cancelled at least 14 days prior to your stay.

You will incur a 50% cancellation fee if you cancel less than 14 days prior but more than 7 days prior to your stay.

We hold a no refund policy for bookings cancelled with less than 7 days notice.

No refund is available for late arrival, early departure or unused nights.

We strongly recommend all guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance.

Occupancy

The studio accommodates a maximum of two guests.

Additional visitors are not permitted.

No Smoking or Vaping

Maunga Tipu is a smoke-free and vape-free property.

Smoking or vaping is not permitted anywhere inside the studio or within the landscaped gardens.

Pets

Pets are not permitted.

Registered assistance dogs are welcome in accordance with New Zealand legislation. Please advise us at the time of booking.

Respect for the Property

Guests are asked to treat the studio, gardens and facilities with care and consideration.

Any loss, excessive cleaning or damage beyond normal wear and tear may be charged to the guest.

Sauna & Outdoor Bath

The private sauna and outdoor bath are provided for your enjoyment.

Guests use these facilities entirely at their own risk.

Please follow all operating instructions provided.

Garden-to-Table Experience

Guests are warmly invited to harvest seasonal vegetables, herbs and edible flowers from the organic garden for their personal use during their stay.

Please harvest respectfully and only what you require so that all guests may enjoy this unique experience.

Availability varies throughout the seasons.

Fire Pit & BBQ

Guests are welcome to use the BBQ and outdoor fire pit when weather conditions permit.

The fire pit must not be used during fire restrictions or high fire danger periods.

Please ensure all fires are fully extinguished before leaving the area.

Wildlife & Rural Environment

Maunga Tipu is located on a rural property surrounded by nature.

Guests may encounter birds, insects, farm animals and changing weather conditions.

Please take care when walking around the gardens and outdoor areas.

Drone Use

To preserve the peace, privacy and natural beauty of Maunga Tipu, drones are not permitted anywhere on the property. Thank you for helping us maintain the tranquil experience our guests come to enjoy.

Maunga Tipu is located within approximately 5 km of Manapouri Airport, where Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) rules apply.

Liability

While every reasonable care is taken to provide a safe and enjoyable stay, Maunga Tipu Luxury Accommodation accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, damage to personal belongings, injury or accident except where required by New Zealand law.

Privacy

Personal information collected during the booking process is used solely to manage your reservation and communicate with you about your stay.

Your information will never be sold or shared with third parties except where required by law or necessary to process your booking.

Force Majeure

Maunga Tipu shall not be liable for cancellations or interruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, road closures, government restrictions, pandemics or utility outages.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
